Double Accreditation

Public Safety has received Accreditation by two accrediting agencies:
IACLEA and CALEA

	IACLEA is International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators Accreditation Commission.
	CALEA is the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and awarded the Advance Law Enforcement Accreditation to The College of Charleston Department of Public Safety after an inspection by outside assessors

Public Safety received its IACLEA accreditation June, 2012.
The achievement was formally recognized at the Awards Ceremony held during the Opening General Session of the IACLEA Annual Conference in Reno, Nevada.

The IACLEA award is in addition to our CALEA accreditation, which was awarded in November 2011.
